Before you start
- A Facebook identity with permission to the intended ad accounts and Data Weaver source-management access.
- Check your ad-account roles in Meta Business settings and identify the accounts to include before starting authorization.
Set up the connection
- Select the client, connect Facebook Ads from Sources and review Meta authorization.
- Select ad accounts explicitly and save. Selecting none syncs none; provider consent alone is not the sync selection.
- Run Sync and check account labels, readiness and history.
Permissions requested
- Read access is used to discover ad accounts, read their currency and retrieve campaign insights. Data Weaver does not create campaigns or modify budgets or ads.
- Review Meta's authorization screen and grant access using the Facebook identity that can access your intended ad accounts. You will then choose which accounts Data Weaver should sync.
Data read and actions performed
- The sync reads recent daily campaign spend, impressions, clicks and available conversion/action-value observations from selected accounts, over a 90-day window.
- This Meta account report is not restricted to Facebook-only placements. Supported questions can read campaign rankings and spend trends.
Refresh and sync
- Default scheduled cadence is hourly; manual Sync is available. Reporting delays, quota backoff and attributed-result revisions can affect recent dates.
Limitations
- Meta-attributed conversion value is not independently verified purchase revenue. Currency and attribution must be compatible before combining totals.
- Facebook Ads and Instagram Ads can overlap because Instagram is a Meta placement; do not add the two reports as independent totals.
Troubleshooting
- Missing accounts require checking Meta asset roles, business restrictions and saved selection.
- For access failures, verify authorization and reconnect if expired. For quota/temporary errors, inspect scheduled retry and sync history.
Disconnect and delete
- Remove the connection locally to stop Data Weaver use and request remote connection cleanup.
- Separately remove the app's access in Meta's Business Integrations/app settings. A provider-wide removal may affect other Meta connections; historical answers and retained app data require separate deletion.
