Before you start
- The TikTok account whose organic activity you want to connect and Data Weaver source-management access.
- Use the separate TikTok Organic login flow to authorize account and video reads, even if you have already connected TikTok Ads.
Set up the connection
- Connect TikTok Organic from the correct client's Sources and authorize the separate Login Kit flow.
- Select the verified connected account explicitly and save. Selecting none syncs none.
- Sync to verify access, then inspect account/video observations and freshness.
Permissions requested
- The required scope names are user.info.basic for account identity, user.info.stats for account statistics, and video.list for the user's authorized videos.
- Review and approve these permissions during TikTok Organic authorization so Data Weaver can read your account statistics and videos. Data Weaver does not upload/delete videos, publish posts or send messages.
Data read and actions performed
- The connector reads available account follower/following/like/video counts and video metadata with current view/like/comment/share counts.
- Authorized video titles, links and covers can appear as scoped evidence in chat. Covers are display images, not playable video streams.
Refresh and sync
- Default cadence is hourly with manual Sync. Current observations are refreshed subject to authorization, pagination and provider quotas.
Limitations
- Display API observations are not daily video analytics, watch-time metrics or historical follower reconstruction.
- Expiring cover URLs and unavailable/private/deleted videos can limit display. Required scopes and application approval must both be present.
Troubleshooting
- If identity works but statistics or videos fail, ask the operator to verify all three required permissions and Display API approval, then reconnect as appropriate.
- Use sync history for quota/temporary failures. Do not reconnect TikTok Ads expecting it to repair the organic grant.
Disconnect and delete
- Remove TikTok Organic in Sources to stop its use and initiate remote cleanup.
- Remove Data Weaver from the TikTok user's connected apps/app-permission settings separately for provider-side revocation. Retained application answers/data require a separate deletion request.
